About Andrew

Andrew Imms is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the IT and Automotive Logistics sectors, blending technical insights with a dynamic entrepreneurial spirit. As the Director of Technologies in the Automotive Logistics sector, Andrew enhanced vehicle logistics solutions through technological innovation and strategic asset management, elevating client satisfaction and reinforcing risk management protocols. His commitment to international collaboration has shone in his role as a non-executive director at EFEC since September 2021, notably through the development of the BITE service, which underscores the importance of business innovation and technical education between the UK and China.


Andrew’s entrepreneurial drive is showcased in his founding of Imminently in February 2019, where he has spearheaded sustainable blockchain solutions anchored in renewable energy, including a groundbreaking metaverse platform. His foresight and innovation are also evident in founding Mibrid in October 2016, a venture that filled the market void for affordable Electric Vehicles (EVs) by leveraging partnerships with leading Chinese manufacturers.


His leadership at Merlin Sports Cars from 2017 to 2019 revitalised the brand, introducing new models that bolstered its market presence. Additionally, through PrintBig3D, founded in January 2018, he has provided large-format 3D printing services, highlighting rapid prototyping and creative solutions across various sectors.


Andrew’s academic achievements include a BA in Politics, Economics, and Philosophy from the University of York, ongoing studies for an MSc in Business Management at the University of Lincoln, and qualifications in Education and Training.

Andrew has been recognised by the Forbes Technology Council, an invitation-only community for world-class CIOs, CTOs, and technology executives, thanks to his broad and impactful experience. His selection was based on his significant contributions to business growth, alongside personal and professional accomplishments. As a member, he will contribute writings on Forbes.com, further solidifying his status as a thought leader in business and technology.
